After all, if someone is willing to pay for it, chances are it can be found on the dimly-lit street and shadowed alleys of the City of Dark Delights.

Spend the night at the Heroes' Rest. Built in the remains of a mage's tower, the Heroes' Rest is home to the fledgling "Most Benevolent, Diligent, and Vigilant Society of Protectors, Defenders Champions, and Deep-Delvers," a group that hopes to one day become an Empire-spanning guild of adventurers and heroes.
Enjoy mediocre food and drink at the Troof & Broo, a run-down tavern run by a retired half-orc that serves just two things: stew & ale. Patrons pay for a bowl and a tankard and are free to dip them into the troughs of ale and stew at their leisure, eating and drinking until their hearts content... or their stomachs rebel.
Purchase any number of questionable horses from Moribund Mounts where their motto is "Sure, they aren't in perfect health, but what does that matter? Something will eat the horse the first time you enter a dungeon anyway." Shop the Grand Bazaar and the Arcade. If you can't find something to pique you interest, the Procurer's Guild will be happy to "acquire" something on your behalf... for a price. Can't finance your next adventure? Need to get your hands on a new axe, but lack the brigs to make it happen? The Benevolent Order of Financiers & Facillitators will be too happy to cover your shortfall... for fairly resonable rates...
In a city where black-hearted thieves and deadly assassins rub shoulders with wealthy merchants and the heirs of nobility adventure lurks around every corner. You don't have to go looking for it. Some how it always finds you. |
