Viva la QueerBar is a slice-of-life narrative game about a queer bar (or queer café) and the team that runs it. It is a game about the joys and struggles of being part of a queer community.
Whether it's a medieval fantasy tavern, a cyberpunk underground club, a real-world queer bar in a historic setting, an intergalactic queer bar on a spaceship, or whatever else you can think of, the QueerBar lives wherever you want it to.
All you need to play is this zine, a regular deck of playing cards (52 cards), and 1-5 people to play with you. No preparation necessary – just start playing!
Viva la QueerBar is great for complete roleplaying novices and equally great for experienced roleplayers. It welcomes players of all genders and orientations who are willing to take on the perspective of a queer character for the duration of the game. However, because it is more of a narrative game than roleplaying, you will spend more time describing your character's thoughts, feelings, and actions than playing your character directly.

Ob mittelalterliche Fantasy-Taverne, Cyberpunk-Underground-Club, eine realweltliche Queerbar in einem historischen Setting, eine intergalaktische Queerbar auf einem Raumschiff, oder was immer ihr euch sonst ausdenkt – die QueerBar lebt dort, wo ihr sie haben wollt.
Alles, was ihr zum Spielen braucht, ist dieses Zine, ein normales Spielkartendeck (52 Karten) und 1-5 Leute, die mit dir spielen. Keine Vorbereitung nötig – spielt einfach los!
Viva la QueerBar ist super für komplette Rollenspiel-Neulinge und ebenso super für erfahrene Rollenspieler*innen geeignet. Es heißt Spielende aller Geschlechter und Orientierungen willkommen, die bereit sind, für die Dauer des Spiels die Perspektive einer queeren Figur einzunehmen. Weil es mehr Erzählspiel als Rollenspiel ist, verbringt ihr jedoch mehr Zeit damit, die Gedanken, Gefühle und Handlungen eurer Figur zu beschreiben, als damit, eure Figur direkt auszuspielen.
